So, what is a pre-wedding shoot?
Included in all of my wedding photography packages I offer a FREE pre-wedding shoot!
Pre-Wedding shoots are a chance for you to learn how I work and I also get to see how you are in-front of the camera. You'll also get some great shots of the two of you to keep and treasure.
Lots of couples are worried about having their photographs taken on their wedding day but a pre-wedding shoot ALWAYS helps them to feel more comfortable on their big day.

Where do we go for the shoot?
I have my favourite places of course, but it's never my opinion that matters to me - it's yours. We can go to your favourite place, or somewhere that means something to you, or just somewhere you think is pretty. It's completely up to you! I can offer suggestions if you'd prefer, but ultimately it's your decision.

Is it just for us, or can we bring family members?
If you have children, we can treat this as a bit of a family shoot if you wish. You can also bring along your dogs! I suggest bringing another person to look after your children or dog so that we can get some of the two of you alone though.

What do we wear?
I get this question a lot, and from the photos you can see on this newsletter, you can see that everyone chooses something different. My main advice is to wear something you feel comfortable in. I have couples that turn up in their formals (like Lucy and James at the top) and couples who turn up in their hiking gear (like Helena and Alex to the left). Be yourselves - this makes for the best photographs.

When will it take place?
We can do this at any point after your booking. Some couples want it a year before their wedding, so they have something now to use as a Save the Date photograph. Some couples want it a month before, as a sneak preview of the day. It's entirely up to you, but I do suggest the months with the better weather.

How many photos will we receive?
At most of my pre-wedding shoots, couples have between 15 and 30 photographs to keep and use as they wish. You'll get a sneak peek the day after your shoot and the rest within 2 weeks. All photos will be available on a private downloadable gallery for you to share and print - and I'll also add them to your USB after your wedding photos are ready.
