There's a relaxed feel to our shoots. You'll have a mixture of natural and posed shots. With younger children, I know how difficult it can be to get just the right moments and so I work with you and your children to get the perfect shots - even if that means me crawling around on the floor at the local park. You can choose the location that suits you, or if you'd prefer I can help you choose. For me, it's all about you being yourselves and I do my best to help you feel comfortable. Brand New At Home Shoot!
As of 2024, I now offer at home sessions. These can be simple photos on the sofa or family fun whilst baking, and everything in between. It's up to. Get in touch more more information.
During your initial consultation, we'll discuss different locations for your shoot. You can choose somewhere that means something to you, at home, or just somewhere you think is pretty. I can suggest a few places for you but in the end, it's your opinion that matters. The best times of day for portrait photography is an hour after the sun has risen or an hour before the sun sets. I suggest these times but I am happy to work around you and your schedule.
On the shoot day, I'll arrive early and scout the location for the best spots, creating a seamless portrait shoot for you. Once you arrive, I'll take you to various spots around the location and capture natural and posed portraits. If children are joining us, I'll encourage them to be themselves and play in whatever way they would like. I'll follow them around and take their photograph in a way that makes them feel comfortable. I have been known to get quite messy as children play - this is absolutely fine and I am happy to so in order to capture the best photographs of your loved ones.
The day after your shoot, I'll edit a sneak peek and add it to your own private gallery. Once you're happy, I'll edit the rest and add those too. If you've chosen my 20 images package, you'll be able to download all the images. If not, you'll be able to select your choices and download them to keep. You can either print the images yourself, or you do have the option to purchase various size professional prints and wall art in my online store.
